Desde 2006 Marta Chandra ha dedicado su vida a la danza, viajando en busca de las raíces que inspiran y sostienen su arte. Vive entre India e Ibiza, lugares que le sirven de inspiración y creación para su danza, profundizando, perfeccionando y asimilándola en su formación con sus maestros, para enraizar más fuertes su estilo personal, sin querer etiquetar su arte, pues la danza y el movimiento a través de la música y los sentidos no tiene límites, haciendo así visible lo invisible.

Marta Chandra, bailarina afincada en Ibiza, ha viajado desde 2006 en busca de las raíces que inspiran y sostienen su arte.
Vive varios meses al año desde 2008 en India, profundizando en danza clásica india Odissi y danzas folclóricas de Rajasthan, siendo la danza gitana de los Kalbelia una de sus danzas más sentidas, por haber compartido con esta tribu una relación más humana.
En este tiempo en India destaca su paso por "Shakti School of Dance" en Rajasthan, donde estudia Odissi y trabaja como asistente de Colleena Shakti.
Siempre buscando inspiración en las danzas de raíz, llega a Israel en 2013 para recibir instrucción de Miriam Peretz, estudiando disciplinas como danza Sufí y danzas de Asia Central (danza persa y mística persa, danzas de Afganistán y danza gitana turka). Siguiendo con su formación en las Danzas de la Ruta de la Seda, forma parte de "Nava Dance Collective", comunidad internacional de bailarinas dedicadas al diálogo intercultural y colaboración artística a través de las formas de danza tradicionales, sagradas y etno-contemporáneas, dirigida por Miriam Peretz. http://www.miriamdance.com/pages/nava.html
De todas estas danzas, mezcladas con la espontaneidad y creatividad que le caracteriza, surge de manera natural la fusión única y personal de Marta Chandra.
En la Isla de Ibiza participa en eventos privados y públicos, colaborando con músicos y artistas como Elea, Bahram Ji, Oggie Marinski, Romana Alarcón e Illo Muriel, y el dúo con Jonathan González "DejaVu" donde combinan las artes circenses y danza. En 2016 forma parte del elenco de artistas en el evento artístico-cultural y fiesta revelación «Woomoon» en Cova Santa, y en la fiesta "Acid Sundays" en Heart Ibiza.
Ha participado en espectáculos e impartido talleres y cursos intensivos en festivales de Danza India, danzas Orientales y Tribal Fusión, organizando también cursos de sus maestras en Ibiza y Barcelona.
Marta ha colaborado con su danza en distintos festivales de música como «Viñarock’09» con el grupo de rock Benito Kamelas, «Ciclo de Música Tres Culturas de Córdoba» con el grupo de Música de Afganistán de Efrén López y con varios proyectos en el Ibiza Roots Festival, actuando como teloneros de "Chambao" y "Jarabe de Palo" entre otros.
Durante su estancia en India participa en eventos y bodas en Bombay y Rajasthan, actuando en escenarios históricos como el "City Palace" de Udaipur.

Since 2008 continues her studies in Odissi, Indian Classical Dance under the teachings of Colleena Shakti at Shakti School of Dance in Rajasthan, following Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra lineage.
She has lived in India several months a year, deepening in classical Indian dance Odissi and folk dances from Rajasthan, being the gypsy dance of the Kalbelia people one of her most felt dances, for having shared with this tribe a more human relationship.
At this time in India, she highlights her time in Shakti School of Dance, where she studies Odissi and works as an assistant of the acclaimed international artist Colleena Shakti.
Always searching for inspiration in the 'roots dances' started her instruction from Miriam Peretz, learning from her repertoire of Ethno-Contemporary and Central Asian and Dances of the Silk Route (Sufi, Persian, Afgan, Tajik and Turkish dances). Studying with Miriam also is part of " Nava Dance Collective ", an international community of dancers devoted to cross-cultural dialogue and artistic collaboration through traditional, sacred, and ethno-contemporary dance forms. From all these dances, mixed with her spontaneity and creativity, her unique and personal fusion arises naturally. This fusion, with a great Indian influence is based on its classical dance, getting camouflage Indian aesthetics in every style, using the subtlety and expression that gives this ancient dance.
Marta Chandra performs in Ibiza island, dancing as a soloist and with many other dancers and musicians like the group Elea and Bahram Ji. In 2016 is part of the artist cast in the "Art and Culture" gathering and newcomer party «Woomoon» in Cova Santa, and in the "Acid Sundays" party at Heart Ibiza.
Sharing her dance experiences and experiments Marta Chandra has taught intensive workshops and classes in dance festivals in Spain and Italy. She has organized worksops for her masters in Ibiza and Barcelona since 2012.
In India she also performs in royal weddings and events, having danced in historical stages like the City Palace in Udaipur with the Colleena Shakti Ensemble.
